When hot looks and great sound are the order of the day, JBL’s 2-piece Duet PC speakers offer smooth, accurate, and full-bodied sound without the need for a separate stand-alone subwoofer. That’s not to say the 6 watts per channel pair will slam like a higher-power satellite-sub system would–but JBL’s patent-pending Phoenix TSR (Tangential Strain Relief) drivers deliver more bass and lower distortion than similar-sized conventional PC speakers, thanks to the their controlled linear excursion. The emphasis, then, is on quality, rather than merely quantity, of sound. Further, Duet’s proprietary SlipStream port enhances the speakers’ bass performance for an impressively wide frequency response of 60 to 20,000 Hz. Incredibly easy to set up and use, the Duet system offers clean, crisp listening at an affordable price. Neodymium magnets heighten the speakers’ power and sensitivity, and the speakers operate on AC power through a supplied AC/DC adapter. What’s in the Box Two speakers, connecting cables, an AC power adapter, a user’s manual, and warranty information.
The JBL Duet speaker system provides smooth and accurate sound for any portable music player or computer. Duet uses patent pending Tangential Strain Relief (TSR) technology. With TSR you get extra bass and lower distortion. The neodymium magnet creates more power and sensitivity. Duet also uses a proprietary port design which enhances the bass performance.

Form AND Function
I was looking for small speakers that were nice looking but well rated. These definitely were the right choice.

Nice for the price
I bought my Duets some 1 1/2 years ago for under $40 (w/ shipping). Was looking for cheap but decent speakers for my laptop at work. Still pleased to this day.

Work Well for Me
These are my traveling speakers for teaching dance. The volume is loud enough without distortion to capture the attention of even the wildest kids.

“An absolutely superior product!”
I have owned several pairs of PC speakers in the time I’ve owned a computer but until now I’ve had to continue to search. My search is finally ended.

Don’t Buy!!
The JBL Speakers worked fine for 3 weeks and all of a sudden, they quit. In the future, I will buy this type of merchandise locally so that I have some recourse.
